Blessings Journaling and Time with God in the Word (Aug.19.2014c.)
Now that I got completely off topic let's try this again...
2014-08-19 12:03:42, Tuesday
Here's another verse I want to meditate upon for the next day or more:
Psalm 9:2 New Living Translation (NLT)
2 I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

Psalm 9:2 and counting my blessings go hand-in-hand.
127 Psalm 9:2 is a blessing counted.
Ugh. Now my blood sugar is working up. I'm hypoglycemic, after all. Pardon me.

It's one of those days, let me state. So, Ugh!, once again. I went to grab a favorite snack--and found none. Zilch. Nada. I thought I had two extra snack thing-a-dingies in the pantry. Nope. Ugh! Hubby went to store and I never told him I needed them. Didn't know. So, had to go to plan B. Whole Grain angel hair pasta with a little butter and olive oil. Thank God. (Blessing 128).
129 I've lost 6 pounds so far. 30 pounds to go. Yay!
130 (Thinking of Psalm 9:1-2) God has filled me with joy--because of what He has done in my life. Hence, I will sing You praises, Lord.
131 Read Psalm 9. 132 Read Psalm 10. 133 Read Romans 2. 134 Read Acts 2. 135 Read Ezra 2. 136 Read Psalm 11. 137 Read Psalm 12. 138 Read Psalm 13. 139 Read Psalm 14. 140 Read Psalm 15. 141 Read Psalm 16. 142 Read Romans 3. 143 Read Acts 3.
Blessings Counted Journal (Aug.19.2014e)

144 I have a total of 191 Journaling entries since August 04, 2014. (Yay!)
145 I purchased a special book on my Amazon Kindle back on March 26, 2009 and I haven't gotten all the way through the book. In fact, I've started to read it several times since and still haven't finished it. I'm going to try to read it again. This is the book:
It's 'PRAYER: FINDING THE HEART'S TRUE HOME" by Richard J. Foster and is a delightful and wonderful book on prayer. I did read it cover to cover back in 2000 and still think of what I read and try to apply it.
So, why am I reading this book again?
Counting your blessings is prayer.
This book talks about different types of prayer and I am looking it through the lens and perspective of using every type of prayer Foster describes as a way to offer God thanksgiving for my blessings--and as I praise Him and bring Him glory--through watching for and seeing His glory. (I hope that makes sense.)
146 I finally finished cup two of coffee for today. On cup three now (147)--finally.
148 I'm also reading this book as the primary source, apart from the Bible, on how to count my blessings:
This book, as mentioned earlier, is: "ONE THOUSAND GIFTS: A DARE TO LIVE FULLY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE'" by Ann Voskamp.
Ugh! I just realized I am missing something else. I cna't find it. Sigh. Curse. Looking all over for it. Lord, help me find it. Actually, I just ordered another one. Save time that way. If I end up having two of the book, that actually would be a wonderful blessing.
Lord, help Zack Beagle. He's having a dementia attack right now. Poor guy. I may need to move to the sofa....

I think the lack of sleep from the last three nights is catching up to me. I just can't concentrate. I am exhausted. I feel like I need a whole lot of rest. Tons of it. I am worn-out, worn-down, and burned out.
149 I thank You, Lord, in advance for an evening of rest and for 150 a good night's sleep where when I wake up in the morning, I will feel very rested. 151 I thank You, Lord, in advance that Zack doesn't have dementia and sleeps still and peacefully--without chasing rabbits in his sleep and twitching.
152 I thank You again, Lord, and in advance for finding my mom a job. She needs one desperately.
153 I thank You for the strength You've been giving my mom since she has been without work.
154 I thank You in advance, once again Lord, in helping B and I figure out the next chapter in our lives.
You tell us to pray confidently, after all.

155 Zack's dementia has calmed. Thank God. I moved to the sofa from my desk in my study and he's happy and content.

Matthew 7:7-8 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
7 “Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
PRAYER: Lord, guide me with my blessings journaling. Tell me what You want me to pursue, pray, and which blessings to count--and when.

176 Just got an email from my mom. Big blessing. Again, 177, thank You, Jesus, her spirits are good and up considering. 178 and her faith is strong. Please, God, help her find a job. To You be the glory.
179 I gave Mom a copy of ONE THOUSAND GIFTS by Ann Voskamp--and she finds it a blessing.
Again, here are a couple of links for it:
And you can buy the books here (I have all of them. They are that good and are worth it.):
180 Mom is going to join me in reading ONE THOUSAND GIFTS. We're starting chapter one tonight.
181 I just got sidetracked looking at Ann Voskamp's blog. It's easy to get pulled in and lose track of the time when I read the blog. I just love what she writes and how she writes it. See her blog here:
It's a real treat. Trust me.
182 So, now I'm going to curl up with ONE THOUSAND GIFTS by Ann Voskamp. Pardon me.
