Prayer 04.04.2015.

THE THIRD DAY OF 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 WORLD PRAYER
I cannot believe this is the third day of praying without ceasing the 2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer. What a blessing.
I hope and pray the Bible verse is rooting its way into your heart and mind and is becoming a new way of life and living.
I pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 becomes a breath of fresh air for us and becomes something very dear and sacred to us. I also pray us feel a combination of relief and excitement to pray the verse all day and night. May we feel the draw to pray it as much as possible, and may the verse become as vital to us as air.

NOTE
I wanted to let you how the next two sections will be repeated each day of this blog and prayer handbook since they are our main focus. It is not an error and please do not skip over them.

OUR MAIN PRAYER WITHOUT CEASING

2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

TIME WITH GOD IN PRAYER AND PRAYER JOURNALING
Pause and pray. If you prayer journal, please do so at this time. If not, I would recommend it. If you record your prayers, you can then know when they are answered and can keep a record of answered prayer. Regardless, take some time in prayer. Pour your heart to God as you pray for the world as a whole, the Church as a whole, your continent, your country, the Church of your country, your state, county, city, your church, your neighborhood, block, neighbors (to each side, in front, and in back), your family and friends, your home, and your life. Pray about each of these all day and night.

DAY THREE PRAYER THOUGHTS
How can 2 Chronicles 7:14 become so familiar, so habitual, so ingrained, so much of how you live and who you are?
Think on this, ponder, pray, and prayer journal your response.
How can you change the world through praying this verse?

My Personal Prayer Journaling 04.02.2015.-04.03.2015.

MY STORY OF HOW I MOVED FROM BEING ANGRY AND SAD TO PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING
This is my personal prayer journaling, which shows how I moved from anger and sadness to praying without ceasing. Only God can change us so much. Only God can give us the proper perspective... His perspective.
Here is the story of angst to submission, from fury to active in prayer:

THE STATE OF AFFAIRS OF OUR WORLD, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE CHURCH:
I am beyond disturbed. Or, more specifically, I was. I have processed through all of this, but let me back up and journal this from my perspective a couple of days ago.
Every time I turn on the news, open my email, or read a blog post, I discover how things keep getting worse in the world, in the U.S., and in the Church as a whole. It frustrates me, saddens me, enrages me, and makes me wonder. Then, I toss and turn in bed and lose sleep.
There is a holocaust going on, where if you do not believe as a terrorist believes, they will torture you, send you into sexual slavery to fund their terrorism, and or murder you. They want everyone who doesn't believe like them annihilated. Destroyed. Silenced. Along with their families.
The Christian Church as a whole is silent.
Christians are silent.
And, this is disturbing.
What would Jesus say or do?
Then, there is a war against Christians in the United States.
The Christian Church as a whole is silent.
Christians are silent.
And, this is disturbing.
What would Jesus say or do?
I am ashamed of Christians and the Church in the U.S. and in the world.
Leaders of the Church, where are your voices? Every sermon, blog, and Bible study right now should be addressing these issues. (Why aren't they?)
Easter services should be cancelled in their present format and these issues should be addressed instead.
Every church and every Christian should talk about these issues. Without fail. Immediately.
If you are Christian and have a blog, you should write about these things immediately. Drop the happy-go-lucky messages and the bookselling and get to the issue at hand. There is a holocaust going on right now. Yes. A holocaust.
Christians were also silent during the holocaust by Hitler. We learned those lessons through our study of history. Right? Wrong. If we did, every Christian would be praying fervently and unceasingly.
No Christian should be in the presence of another and not talk about these things.
Where is the outrage?
Why are Christians silent?
How will you answer God when you die and He asks for accountability of these things?
Jesus never said Christians should be silent. Was Jesus ever silent? Or, did He address the issues immediately and straightforwardly? (Hint: The latter is true.)
The Church and Christians have failed.
Are we going to continue to fail?
Wake up, Christians. Get focus off of self and stuff and get focused on what really matters right now.

WHAT PART HAVE YOU PLAYED?
Then, God asked me, "Stacy, what part have you played?"
Did I hear that correctly? I replayed the question in my mind.
Huh? I think about it for a moment and then I realize--ouch. I have played my own part in this mess... in this current holocaust... and have been silent. I haven't known what to say photo say it. After all, I have not been as informed as I should be. Furthermore, I have not prayed for all of this like I could or should. I am at fault as well.
Ouch. I really need to look in the mirror more often.
So, what can I do, should I do, knowing what I know now? Huh. I prayed about this for a few minutes and then I remembered 2 Chronicles 7:14. I paused. When was the last time I prayed this verse?
Crickets. I heard crickets in response and didn't hear anything. Nothing came to mind. I had no idea whatsoever. Needless to say, I had an answer and realized what I needed to do. Not only should I pray 2Chronicles 7:14, but I should pray it without ceasing.
But, for how long?
Hah! Duh. I felt foolish as the answer came to me.
Without ceasing.
Got it.
Now, what? How?
I looked up the verse.

I WANT TO PRAY, AND LEARN TO PRAY, 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 WITHOUT CEASING

2 CHRONICLES 7:14 NKJV:
Let's begin our prayer and time, and prayer without ceasing with our main Bible verse:

2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

TIME WITH GOD IN PRAYER AND PRAYER JOURNALING:
Pause and pray. If you prayer journal, please do so at this time. If not, I would recommend it. Regardless, take some time in prayer. Pour your heart to God.
Pray for the world as a whole, the Church as a whole, your continent, your country, the Church of your country, your state, county, city, your church, your neighborhood, block, neighbors (to each side, in front, and in back), your family and friends, your home, and your life.

A NOTE: USE YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TRANSLATION OR VERSION OF 2 CHRONICLES 7:14:
I'm using the NKJV as the main version for this blog and the 2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer. It isn't my favorite version, I do not know about you. Feel free to use your favorite. You need to use the translation that speaks the most to you. I use the NKJV as a starting point for all of us. That is all.

AN ADDITIONAL NOTE:
I will date these prayers and prayer thoughts, but will try to make them timeless so we can read them and re-read them at any time. Consequently, if it is a different date than your reading, that's fine. Ignore the date.

BREAKING THE VERSE DOWN IN PARTS TO FOCUS ON AND MEMORIZE:

2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 if My people who are called by My name
will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin
and heal their land.

PRAYER IS NEEDED ALL THE TIME AND IS HARDLY POINTLESS:
There hasn't been one place or one human ever in history that couldn't be changed for the better through prayer. We live in a fallen world and fallen people do fallen things. You. Me. All of us. And, we live in places.faces Therefore, places should be prayed for as well. Hence, 2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer.
Send your prayers up like incense. Be ceaseless in your prayers. Pray for every person to live and pray this verse.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 WORLD PRAYER GOAL AND CHALLENGE:
God changes things though one person's prayers. Imagine how He would change this world, and all of us, if every single Christian prayed. Let's stand united and pray without ceasing this verse for the World.

PRAYER IS LOVE
When it all comes down to it, humility coupled with praying to God and seeking His face, brings God's forgiveness and healing on the land. What major blessings--God's undeserving favor shown to undeserving us. This prayer is a prayer of love. We pray because He loved us first and is love. In doing so, we fulfill Jesus Christ's Maunday Thursday command to love one another. Praying with His love for people to turn to Him is one of the best ways to love people. All of us can turn to Him far more than we do, after all. Praying for people to turn to God, out of love, is the best love we can show them.
And, it's best done in the prayer closet. Humble prayer.

REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR YOURSELF FIRST
Yes. This seems contrary to the Christian life. However, if we are not humbled and seeking God far more than we already are, how effective are our world prayers?
Just a thought.

LEARNING THE HABIT OF UNCEASING PRAYER
Today, I am going to read 2 Chronicles 7:14 and pray it back far more to God than I did yesterday.
Yesterday was my baseline. Today, I will try to be even more persistent in the prayer.
How about you?

Pray Without Ceasing or Stopping: A Habit to Develop

Let it be our goal to do what God commands us in Scripture. Praying without ceasing is one of the commands and is our goal regarding the 2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer as we pray for our world today. The verse that follows is the command for us to pray without stopping (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

A HABIT TO DEVELOP
Now, this is what we will try to do with 2 Chronicles 7:14. We will try to pray it back to the Lord throughout the day and night.
I do not know about you, but I praying without ceasing is not a habit I have at this time. I try to do so, but it does not always work. I forget to do so. Therefore, I realize I need to develop the habit.
I do not know about you, but the reports I hear about in the news are frightening to me and are also frustrating, concerning, and maddening. I cannot help but wonder if this is indeed the end of this world. However, I do not know for sure. This makes me realize the world may be around for a longer time and it is my job as a Christian to pray for this world. Today. Without delay.
So, how do I pray for this world? 2 Chronicles 7:14 offers the answer, along with 1 Thessalonians 5:17. How do I put it into practice, though? How do I pray without ceasing 2 Chronicles 7:14? How do I/we develop the habit?
I have read several articles, Bible studies, books, and daily devotionals on how to so. Now, I hope to put it into practice and make the 2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer my lifelong prayer without ceasing. I want to fulfill my part in praying for the change of this world, and pray for the world to follow Jesus Christ and God's will. I want to live 1 Thessalonians 5:17 through praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 without ending.

DAY 1 AND LEARNING TO PRAY ALL THE TIME 2 CHRONICLES 7:14
Today, I will read 2 Chronicles 7:14 as much as possible and try to commit the verse to memory.
I will try to read and pray it at least once every hour throughout the time I am awake. Then, I will try to pray it every time I wake in the night, as I fall asleep, and when I wake in the morning.
My goal is to be intentional and purposeful in thinking it, reading it, and praying 2 Chronicles 7:14.
I also want to prayer journal my prayers of this verse for the world.
Now, what is your plan to develop this as a habit? Please share it with us and add a comment at the end of any blog post.

2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer Introduction

THREE AGREEMENTS:
As Christians, we may differ in the expression, observance, and practice of some of our beliefs. However, there are two that we can all agree on:
1 Jesus Christ is our Savior, who died so we don't have to, to forgive our sins, and give us eternal life.
2 The Holy Bible is true and is the Word of God.
Let's be honest. Those two facets are the most important things for us to focus on and is how we agree. The rest of the difference between us really doesn't matter if we simplify things as much as possible.
However, I bet there is another facet we can agree on and that is (3) our world needs prayer. We have three facets we agree on and can stand together regarding, therefore, and I hope we can and will starting in this moment.
Can we set aside our differences and focus on praying together in Jesus Christ's name for our world?
One prayer can make a difference and change the world. Can you imagine what would happen if every single Christian in the world prayed without ceasing or stopping 2 Chronicles 7:14 in Jesus Christ's name? How much would the world be changed then?
That is the purpose of 2 Chronicles 7:14 World Prayer, for us to pray this verse day and night.

2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

An Honest Prayer: Prayer Journaling Thoughts About Praying for the World Without Stopping
Lord, I have not been praying much. Not nearly as much as I could or should. Help me to learn to really pray without ceasing or stopping, and to do it all the time, day and night, for the rest of my life, without fail. Teach me how. Show me the way.
My lack of prayers sure have not helped our world or my nation, never mind my family, town, county, and state. And, they sure haven't helped the Church as a whole or the American Church as a whole, the body of Christ.
Help me to live 2 Chronicles 7:14 in my own life as I pray it for everyone else as well.
I know one prayer can change much. So, what would happen if I were to pray all the time for these things?
What would happen if I prayed against terrorism without ceasing?
What if just I were to pray without ceasing for these things?
And, what if every Christian in the world did the same?
Pause.
Praying.
How about you?
