Journal the Word: Welcome and Introduction

WELCOME, INTRODUCTION, AND SUMMARY OF "JOURNAL THE WORD"
Good day. Welcome to a blog called, "JOURNAL THE WORD." It is a blog dedicated to going through the Bible four verses per day for the next twenty-five years or so. We will go book by book through the Bible.

THE BREAKDOWN OF BLOG AND BLOG POSTS
After all, there are 13,102 verses in the Bible. Divide that by four verses a day and then by 365 and it's 21.3 years. We will have some sort of an introduction to each Book of the Bible, review days, and times when we only focus on two or three verses rather than four for the really hefty and meaty verses. Hence, 25 years or so is the best approximate we are looking at. Never mind how there are holidays and family emergencies which will undoubtedly happen from time to time, so I will not be able to write every day as I hope. However, I will aim for most days possible, though.

MONTHLY GOAL
Our goal is to cover 120 verses per month on average. (Some weeks, it may be more or less than 28 verses week.)

THE PURPOSE OF "JOURNAL THE WORD"
This blog will serve multiple purposes. Each day the blog post will serve as a:
1 Devotional
2 Bible reading
3 Bible study
4 Pondering, contemplating, thinking
5 Life application or Christian living
6 Prayer journal
7 Review
There will be four parts each day as well, but not necessarily in this order:
1 An introduction to the passage of four verses.
2 Extra biblical teaching regarding the Bible book or passage.
3 Christian living thoughts and application.
4 My own devotion on the passage, where I address some of the daily questions below. This is meant to be an example and inspire you with your own in #5.
5 Your addressing the questions I share below to help you get the most out of the passage and to help you think on it all day and night long until the next passage.

TIME WILL TELL
I think once you start to read this blog, you will see what I mean and it will make more sense.

HOW SHOULD YOU START THIS BLOG AND BIBLE READING?
Granted, if you are reading this blog from the beginning, this is self-explanatory. Start with the first reading.
If, however, you start later on into the life of this blog, you have a few different choices:
1 Start with today.
2 Start with the Book of the Bible you want to start.
3 Start this blog, and Journal the Word, from the very beginning.

ARE YOU READY?
So, are you ready to begin? I am quite excited, I do not know about you. The first Book of the Bible we're going to read and study is Romans. Let's begin.

Blessings,
