STORIES OF BLESSING #11

CAN YOU GO WRONG IN TELLING OR SHARING YOUR STORIES OF BLESSING?

THE FORMS OF TELLING YOUR STORIES OF BLESSING: A STORYTELLING HINT OR TIP
There are many ways to tell your stories of blessing. In fact, the ways you can are numerous, for our blessings are numerous and immeasurable.

So, let me give you a little storytelling hint or tip: You can't go wrong.

YOU CAN'T GO WRONG--UNLESS...
Actually, you can go wrong. If you don't tell it, that's wrong. This is where we mess up and don't get it right.

We figure our stories are our own.

We think our stories of blessing are private.

Both of those statements are true. However, if we count a blessing, it is a special favor given to us by the Lord that we do not deserve, but He gave it to us anyway. He does this to show His glory, in other words, to show how He is God and is in control and He loves us. Needless to say, our blessings are actually His--His gift to us. He is the originator of all blessings. It is His story of blessing, not ours. We are just the original recipient.

Parts of our blessings can be private. We don't have to share our names, where we live, all of the fact of the blessing when we tell our stories of blessing. We can keep some things private as we share out stories of blessing.

Every blessing is meant to be shared, for it then becomes a joy doubled. It is a blessing to us and then to those who hear it.

A blessing is something that touches everyone who learns and hears of the blessing.

A lot of the time, the blessing we are given is meant to be for someone else--not for us. They just would not receive it the same way if the blessing was bestowed directly on them. They get more when they receive the blessing through another source.

Have you ever thought of it like that?

Your blessing might not be for you. You sharing it with another might be the whole point.

However, I think that with every blessing, everyone gains something from it: a new perspective, wisdom, and a deeper knowledge of God--whether we believe in Him or not.

So, be a blessing. Share your stories of blessing. you may never know the difference it makes, but I guarantee it impacts everyone who hears of it.
